Spiced Chicken Wings |
For this recipe I used a Nigerian spice called Suya spice which is native to the Hausa tribe, it is a mixture of ground peanut(kuli kuli), ginger powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chilli and salt mixed in appropriate quantities.
But you can use your own variation of spices like the Indian spice mixture Garam masala which is by the way one of my favorite spices or a mixture of your own spice since this might not be readily available to you. I prepared this as a weekend treat for hubby.
INGREDIENTS
- 12 pieces Chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons Suya Spice
- 1 seasoning cube(Knorr)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- small bunch fresh Lettuce
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- Ketchup as desired
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Marinate chicken wings with Suya Spice (Recipe coming up in next post), salt and seasoning cube. keep overnight in the fridge or for 30mins.
- Grill in the oven on parchment paper/foil or barbecue for 30mins. 15 Mins on each side.
- Serve with shredded Lettuce and sliced Tomatoes salad drizzled with olive oil, a side of Ketchup and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here. 2 Corinthians 5:17
