Spaghetti and Meatballs
WEEKEND SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS
Spaghetti and meatballs is a fantastic and low cost recipe that is quick and very easy to prepared. I prepared this recipe as a weekend dinner, I sometimes like to spend as little time as possible in the kitchen; if you share the same views then this is one of those recipes that will help you accomplish that.

INGREDIENTS
Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 Large Onion chopped
- 2 Large garlic cloves, minced
- 5 Large fresh Tomato, finely chopped
- 1 medium tin tomato puree
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp fresh scotch bonnet pepper paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 seasoning cube(knorr)
- 1 pack whole wheat spaghetti
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 pound minced meat
- 2 tbsp dried plain bread crumbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- To make sauce, heat oil in large pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring until onion is softened about 3 minutes. Stir in fresh tomato and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in remaining sauce ingredients; cook stirring occasionally, until sauce is slightly thickened for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile to meatballs,heat oil in large non stick pan over medium heat, add onion stirring for about 1 minute; add half of the minced meat. Stir until the mince is heated through, cook uncovered if necessary until all liquid evaporates.
- Combine the cooked mince with the rest of the ingredients, including raw mince.
- With damp hands form mixture into 12 golf size balls and place on baking tray lined with baking sheet/foil. Bake until brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile cook spaghetti according to package instructions, omitting salt if desired. Drain
- Add meatballs to Tomato sauce; cook stirring occasionally until heated through about 9 minutes.
- Combine sauce with spaghetti thoroughly.
- Serve hot or warm.
